With the right tools and techniques, you can develop a wide variety of shapes and designs for your beads that can be used for making jewelry such as bead bracelets.</p>
<p>Soften the polymer clay until it is warm, rubbery and moldable. This is also a good time to mix any colors together if you attempting to make a custom color or marbled effect. Make sure to work out any air bubbles. An easy way to do this is to roll your clay flat using an acrylic rolling pin.</p>
<p>Using your hands or some plexiglass, shape your beads. You can mold them into balls, squares, bits of multiple colors rolled together and sliced, or any other shape you can think of. You are only restricted by your imagination.</p>
<p>Assuming you wish to string your beads, you are going to have to put holes in them. You can do this before or after you bake them. The easier method is to make the hole prior to baking. To do this, gently twist a skewer back and forth into your beads. Place multiple beads on one skewer for baking and make sure they do not touch each other. Also, you can drill holes in your beads after baking. Drilling is more difficult, but will not alter the shape of your beads.</p>
<p>Next, make sure that the beads don&#8217;t touch one another, place the beads on skewers on a bead baking rack. If you are drilling holes afterwards, place the beads gently between two pieces of cardboard. Bake the beads according to the instructions for the type of polymer clay that you bought. This usually takes about 30 minutes in the oven. Once your beads have cooled, carefully take the beads off of the skewers and sand any rough spots that could have developed from making the holes. Spray them with a coat of varnish, if you wish.</p>

They did not watch television, receive emails, or play &#8220;words with friends.&#8221; Nevertheless cavemen could have utilized the services of a modern day marketing firm. Cavemen had products and services that could have benefited from a marketing firm or from using Twitter for business purposes. Perhaps cavemen did have their own form of marketing firms but archaeologists have yet to discover them. For now we can only guess what the caveman marketing business would look like.</p>
<p>So what would a caveman utilize a marketing firm for? Just like contemporary man, cavemen would hire a marketing firm to advertise new products. The wheel could have been standardized much faster if cavemen had a marketing firm to promote the benefits of using the wheel. The wheel would essentially sell itself with just a little bit of advertising. Cavemen in the wheel-making industry could have used Twitter for business by Tweeting about how great round wheels are at transporting rocks in comparison to square ones. A marketing firm could also have helped caveman communities divulge information to other cavemen about how incredibly useful the wheel is.</p>
<p>Cavemen also could have used a marketing firm to publicize their cave paintings. Cave painting was a cornerstone of caveman culture. They told stories and recorded knowledge through cave painting. A good marketing firm could have turned cave painting into a profitable venture for entrepreneurial cavemen. Caveman marketing firms could have turned cave painters into celebrity artists that other cavemen would envy.</p>
<p>Cavemen probably had no notion of what it meant to be a good salesman. Caveman society revolved around fighting off Komodo dragons, lugging around boulders, and finding a mate. Inject the wherewithal of a modern marketing firm into that situation and you would have a much more informed society of cavemen. A marketing firm could coordinate smoke signal campaigns to spread intelligence to cave dwellers miles away. This would do wonders for caveman safety. If a blood thirsty saber tooth tiger was spotted lurking around popular hunting grounds, the caveman marketing firm would help raise awareness. In the caveman world a marketing firm would serve as both advertising agency and public safety announcer.</p>
<p>It is sad that we will never know what the world would be like today if cavemen had the ability to use Twitter for business and marketing firms. Perhaps if we ever overcome the obstacles to time travel we can go back and really mess up the history of the world by introducing Twitter and marketing to cavemen. That endeavor would probably fail because cavemen did not have the internet or money. But if we gave cavemen internet access it would be interesting to see what they would do with it. We should allocate the resources we use for war, espionage, and nuclear weaponry on time travel so we can help cavemen become civil with Twitter and modern marketing.</p>

But having a website isn&#8217;t enough anymore, nor is it interactive enough for many visitors. So governments are offering up new online features to keep up with the popularity of social media and other web marketing tactics. In fact, many sites are linked to Facebook and Twitter. Others are being revamped by a social media agency that comprehends how to best attract visitors.</p>
<p>However, there are some concerns with e-government pages. There are the big ones, like website design and how social media will be used by the government. But there&#8217;s also the matter that many people in government are ignorant to social media methods. When they hear the word &#8220;Re-tweet&#8221;, they usually have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. However, all of the problems can be very easily solved by using the expertise of a social media agency.</p>
<p>And every social media agency worth its salt is starting to take advantage of this growing clamor for social media. In fact, many are popping up that are strictly for cultivating social media for government use. One such example is Digital Gov Group, based out of Reno, Nevada, that helps city, county, and state level governments establish proper social media use and policy. The big appeal for using a social media agency like this one is they can help set up communications channels, which are especially important in times of crisis (such as natural disasters).</p>
<p>However, there are those states that have chosen to avoid using a social media agency whenever possible. Utah is an example of this. According to Utah CIO Steve Fletcher, if social media policies are made in-house, than those who helped to make and then abide by them will understand them better. Also, with Facebook and Twitter accounts being free, they just don&#8217;t see the point of spending the money on a social media agency. The argument I make is that, although these sites are free, updating an account can become time consuming. For offices who wish to spend time on other things than having employees flounder in social media, using a social media agency is a great way to train staff until they have the skills to use the pages.</p>
<p>Overall, social media is a great tool to use. Governments are realizing this, and are on their way to implementing social media to reach out to the public. However, for those that don&#8217;t have the resources or the people to catch up on the demand for this level of interaction, hiring a social media agency can be a great start or a useful way to have others handle the social media while you use your staff to handle other official matters.</p>
