How to write a case study that will still be newsworthy in 3 years

If you watch the media closely, you’ll see that unless a news story or case study is phenomenal, it won’t stay around for longer than 10 days. New stories sell papers, and case studies should have a new development before they will even be considered for a second report. Why then, are we still hearing about Bragster’s guerrilla marketing case study from 2008? And how can we write our own case study to last just as long?

The case study linked traditional and revolutionary advertising techniques. Projecting your credit card onto a building is a unique way to broadcast a message. But the projection also included a link to Mr Bodson’s website (Bragster.com), where anyone could use his credit card details to make telephone and online purchases. This case study successfully linked Internet marketing with guerrilla marketing. How does your case study experiment with form?
The case study was popular with the public. Mr Bodson placed clues on his website before the projection, hinting at where it would be found. This formed hype on traditional and social media that created audience anticipation for the campaign. The case study appealed to the public. How can you boost your case study’s appeal?
The case study had a positive message. Of course, there was a marketing bottom line, but this campaign was bigger than that. Mr Bodson claims “with all the doom and gloom, we wanted to bring a little Christmas cheer.” What positive message does your case study have?
When we consider what makes a case study unique, popular, and relevant, it becomes a lot more effective. Not every campaign is as newsworthy as Bragster’s, but for a case study to be at all memorable, we must bring out its most important aspects. Be concise and relevant.

Capture Pages: Unique Or Direct Links?

When it comes to Affiliate Marketing, one of the most important tings you learn right from the beginning is the importance of the web page a customer goes to gather more information about the product you are promoting. With landing web pages, you ave two options. You can use a direct link, also called an Affiliate link, that leads your potential customers to the parent company’s product capture page. You can also choose to create your own unique capture pages.
As stated, while you are learning the ropes of Affiliate Marketing, using the link to the product page that is provided to you is helpful. The page is already created. The graphics, text, and other pertinent information is already wrapped in a nice little package for you. It eliminates extra work that you would have to do. Unfortunately, after a while and you learn more about what techniques work for you, you will gain the knowledge that you need to create unique capture pages of your own so that you don’t have to rely on the one that you are provided.
If you were looking for a specific product and used a search engine to find it, you would get a list of websites that would match the keywords that you used. Let’s say that you click on one of these links and were taken to a product page. This page would contain information about the product, testimonials from customers, and other pertinent information. All of this content is on one web page. A website has multiple pages that readers can access to do research and find helpful information. A product’s capture page is different because it doesn’t have these pages.
By creating a unique capture page, your individual voice, style, and techniques are passed from your other marketing efforts to the capture page content. When you are writing your own blogs, ads, emails, and articles it is important to be consistent. The tone of your content may be odd in comparison to a merchant’s page.
Duplicating content is a big negative factor in the world of Internet marketing. Search engines have specific rules regarding the use of the same information that is somewhere else on the Internet. Although a merchant’s product page may not be duplicated, it is not a good idea to use them for a long period of time. The problem is that a lot of the information that merchants provide Affiliates to use is recycled; it may not be exactly the same, but it is too similar in many ways.
Capture page templates are a good option when your web page designing skills are limited. Not very many people have the advanced knowledge that is needed to create a unique capture page that is made up of codes and other complicated parts. Instead, you can choose templates that have positions laid out for the things that you want to put on your product page, like graphics and text. All you do is input the data in the boxes.
There are definitely some benefits to using the merchant’s capture pages, but only temporarily. Unless you don’t intend on promoting the product for a long period of time, it makes sense to learn how to create your own unique capture pages. Since Affiliate marketing isn’t usually a temporary thing for people who are serious, start learning as soon as you can. The less time that you have to rely on a pre-made page means less time that you are using the same capture page as hundreds of other people.
There are professional designers who are skilled in the art of capturing leads with a unique capture page. Here is a professional service we have reviewed to be one of the most reputable for Lead Capture Page Design. With unique pages designed for your specific needs and product/services, Custom Capture Pages are most definitely the way to go for the winning edge.
